Leaves. 2 - 3 oblong, pointed basal, stem with several sheathing leaves above. Unspotted. Appear in autumn.
Flowers. Brownish-purple / maroon. White or pale pink purple spotted lip. Fragrant in an oval spike.
Flowering period. April - July
Soil type. Dry calcareous or acid. Full sun.
