Height. 15cm -55cm. Those in the open tend to be short, shady habitats produce taller plants.
Leaves. Basal leaves are oblong, 2 - 5 upper leaves linear-lanceolate and appear in spring.
Flowers. Whitish tinged with green, especially the lip. Linear pendent, anther cells close together and parallel.
Flowering period. May - August
Soil type. Usually calcareous soils. Full sun or partial shade.
