Height. 30cm - 40cm
Leaves. Smallish leaves appear in autumn.
Flowers. Single stem with 2 - 5 flowers, yellow-green sepals and a velvety brown labellum with a distinctive H marking so that the flowers much resemble an arthropod and especially a spider.
Flowering period. April - May
Soil type. Generally calcareous soils with short or sparse ground cover.
